Workout Wednesday

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Guess what? It snowed. Okay, it only snowed for an hour and it didn’t lat but I was ridiculous giddy for that one hour and it reminded me that Christmas is fast-approaching and that means I’m Palm Springs bound!

Yesterday's sunset from the office.

…And now for WIAW

What did YOU eat this week?

What did YOU eat this week?

Since I’m since in limbo, waiting for my new phone, I haven’t been able to document all of my eats but here are my top treat eats this week :

Sweet Loren’s

SO GOOD. Find them at Whole Foods!

SO Delicious GF/Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte

This is so decadent, it totally hits the spot.

Sweet Potato Popchips

A little sweet, a little savory, a lot perfect.

There are three times during the day that I get RAVENOUS…like, want to nibble on everything in sight. My go-to snacks? Oodles of nut butters, raw carrots, eggs…and anything else in my line of vision. It’s a problem, and I’m working on changing it. 11:30AM, 3PM and late at night are my most amplified hungry times and currently I’m focusing on addressing them individually to discover WHY I’m eating; am I bored? (3PM), anxious (late night), or actually hungry (11:30). To work towards healthy and happier living I’m currently comprising a list of non-food comforts to help with my midnight snacking. Here’s my list but I’d love to hear what you turn to for comfort.

Last night involved facemasks, magazines AND Netflix :)

-Lighting candles (I’m loving Pumpkin Pie Spice scent)

– MAGAZINES (yes, they’re sometimes trashy but they give me that indulgent feeling, like I get from food)

– Facemasks

-Netflix

-Stretching

AND here’s how I’ve been getting my sweat on this week:

Sweat out the stress.

Sweat out the stress.

Thursday: 15 minutes Stair Climber, 15 minutes Shoulder-focused lifting, 10 minutes inclined treadmill walking with light weights, 20 minutes elliptical
Friday: Sprint to the Table’s 15 minute HIIT, PM 35 minute Lifting, 15 minute run
Saturday: 1 hour interval class, Inferno (think lots of burpees and push-ups) followed by a 30-minute cool down walk on the treadmill
Sunday: 10 minute warm-up run, 15 minute stair-climber, 13 minute arc-trainer
Monday: 1 hour strength and cardio group fitness class (lots of triceps and quads), 5 minute skipping
Tuesday: 30 minutes Stair-climber , 6 minutes skipping
Wednesday: 1 hour strength and cardio group fitness class

What do you do for non-food comfort? What are your hungriest times of the day? How have you been getting your sweat-on this week?

Wednesday love,

THE CC

  1. Non-food comfort for me is yoga or reading. Tea is comforting at night too.
You have the most amazing view from your office!! 🙂

  2. Not to sound like an alcoholic, but a nice glass of white wine usually relaxes me pretty well! Sometimes I turn to a nice hot shower, a magazine (like you), or talking to someone I love 🙂
