This month I was asked to be a Vega ambassador. My answer was a quick and assured, YES! The lovely Vega team asked what I was doing for fitness and what products I might be interested in. I had recently seen their Hydrator at my favorite health food store and was immediately intrigued. I have loved Vega products since their debut, but more recently fell in love with their sports nutrition line, and was looking for a new addition to my workout hydration.
Days after mentioning this to the Vega team, I received a package filled with Vega goodness: my requested Electrolyte Hydrator, in addition to the Vega Starter Pack and a bag to proudly carry it all. It’s been two weeks since fueling my workouts with the products (sipping Electrolyte Hydrator during my workouts and refuelling with Vega One after) and I am proud to say that I am definitely hooked. As I’ve previously shared, I’m focusing my workouts on gaining strength and since becoming a Vega ambassador, I’ve tracked 12 workouts and lifted 161 000 lbs! #boom
Fuelyourbetter Recovery Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla chai Vega One
½ sweet potato, cooked & cubed
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
¼ cup large rolled oats
Extra Cinnamon to taste
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy!
Why this smoothie? I created this smoothie to restore my glycogen levels after a tough workout. Also, it’s got the protein from the Vega to rebuild my muscle tissue.
